Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 11, 2026
Prolevel Performance ("we", "us", "our") is an independent, AMVIC-licensed auto repair and inspection facility in Calgary, Alberta. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website and in the course of serving you, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).
Information we collect
Information you give us directly, for example when you request a booking or contact us:
- Your name and contact details (phone number, email address).
- Vehicle details you provide — such as make and model, VIN, and mileage.
- The service you're asking about, your preferred timing, and any message or notes you send.
- Information you share with us in person or by phone when we service or inspect your vehicle, and the records of the work we perform.
Information collected automatically when you use the site:
- Privacy-friendly, aggregate usage analytics (Vercel Analytics), such as which pages are viewed, approximate region, device and browser type, and counts of certain actions (for example, submitting the VIN tool or clicking a link). These analytics are designed to be cookieless and do not identify you personally.
VIN tool: when you enter a Vehicle Identification Number on our VIN check page, it is sent to a public vehicle-data service to decode the vehicle (year, make, model and specifications). We do not store the VIN you enter. If you choose to continue to our vehicle-history partner, CarHistoryReport.ca, your VIN is passed to that separate website, which operates under its own privacy policy and terms.
How we use your information
- To respond to your booking or contact request, confirm details, and provide an estimate or quote.
- To schedule, perform and document repairs, inspections and related services on your vehicle.
- To contact you about your vehicle, your request, or the status of work.
- To keep the business and service records we are required to keep by law, including those applicable to AMVIC-licensed businesses and for tax purposes.
- To operate, secure and improve our website.
Consent
We collect, use and disclose personal information with your consent. When you ask us to service your vehicle or submit a request through the site, you consent to our using the information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits and reasonable notice — though doing so may mean we cannot provide certain services. To withdraw consent, contact us using the details below.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and website, or where required by law:
- Service providers who operate our website and tools on our behalf — our hosting and analytics provider (Vercel), our database provider (Supabase), and our email delivery provider (Resend). These providers process information under our instructions.
- CarHistoryReport.ca, if you choose to continue to it for a vehicle-history report (a separate website with its own policies).
- Google, where map and review content is embedded or linked on our site, subject to Google's own terms.
- Regulators, authorities or other parties where required or permitted by law — including AMVIC in connection with our licensing and consumer-protection obligations.
Some of these providers may store or process information outside Alberta or Canada. Where that happens, the information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is handled.
Cookies and similar technologies
Our analytics are designed to work without advertising cookies. Embedded or linked third-party content, such as Google Maps or Google reviews, may set its own cookies or collect information under Google's terms when you interact with it. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including to provide and stand behind our work, and to meet record-keeping, AMVIC, tax and other legal requirements. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to securely delete or de-identify it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under PIPA and PIPEDA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and ask questions about how we handle it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within the time required by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta.
Children
Our website and services are directed to adults and are not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
